2 Types of ambulance
Ambulance services include the basic role of transportation of patient from one to the other in case of emergency or a non-emergency. It also provides medical aid to the patients while travelling. These services may be used when a patient is being discharged from the hospital, if a patient os being brought to the hospital for treatment, patients with some chronic diseases that need some treatment on a regular basis like dialysis done by the diabetes patients. There are two basic types of ambulance which are as follows:-
1. Land ambulance
This type of ambulance consists of vehicles like vans, trucks, cars that are driven on the roads. These are used for the transport when the distance is short and can be covered by the road itself. It comes decked with lights and sirens that can be flashed while the driver is driving. It helps the traffic to divert so that the patient may be brought the hospital or health center in less time.
2. Air ambulance
This type of ambulance is used for the transport that involves distanced places. Mostly helicopters and fixed wing planes are used. Whether the situation of a patient is critical services or there is a non-emergency situation that requires long-distance travel, this is the most suitable option. They can quickly and easily carry a patient across the miles along with the provision of medical help and support needed by the patients at any point of same time.
Thus, the services provided by ambulance prove to be life saving to a large number of persons. Some very experienced and qualified staff is required to operate this part of medical wing.
